THE PROBLEM HOWEVER IS THAT I HAVE NOT EVEN CODED IT YET, BUT THE DESIGN IS NEARLY FINISHED WHICH MEANS THAT CODING WILL FOLLOW SOON.. I KNOW THAT THIS GAME WHICH I AM GONNA CODE IS NOT GOING TO BE AN ORIGINAL GAME, BUT THE MAIN REASON I AM CODING A SHOT EM UP IS BECAUSE THE C64 IS CAPABLE OF BRILLIANT SHOOT EM UPS BECAUSE OF ITS AWESOME CUSTOM GRAPHICS CHIP (VIC II), BUT SADLY MOST PROGRAMMERS DONT SHOW OFF THE C64 TO WHAT IT IS REALY CAPABLE OF DOING, SO I WILL DO JUST THAT, TO PROVE THAT THE C64 IS A BRILLIANT SHOOT EM UP MACHINE!!! TO BE PRETTY HONEST THERE IS ONLY 2 SHOOT EM UPS WHICH ARE THE ONLY GOOD SHOOT EM UPS EVER ON THE C64, AND THEY ARE TURRICAN 1 AND 2, AND THEY WERE CODED BOTH BY MANFRED TRENZ (MAKE A COMEBACK PLEAAASSSEE!!), BUT AFTER OBSERVING THE CODE IN THE GAME FOR A WHILE IT USES A LOT OF PROCESSING TIME TO SCROLL THE SCREEN, MOST OF THE TECHNIQUES IN MY GAME WILL FEATURE RASTER SCROLLING WHICH ENABLES THE SCREEN TO SCROLL THE WHOLE SCREEN AND COLOUR CONTENTS EITHER LEFT AND RIGHT!! AND ALL THIS ONLY USES 8 RASTER LINES TOTALLY INCLUDING THE NEXT CHARACTERS ON THE SCROLL AREA, INSTEAD OF ABOUT 200 RASTER LINES LIKE IN AN AVERAGE SCROLLER!! THIS MEANS THAT I COULD ADD LOTS OF EFFECTS ON THE PLAYING AREA SUCH AS HUGE MULTIPLEXED BADDIES, WITH LOADS OF PARRALAX AND COLOUR SPLIT BACKGROUNDS WHILE SCROLLING THE ENTIRE SCREEN AT EXTREMELY HIGH SPEED!! ANYWAY IT IS TIME FOR THE STATUS.. FUCKING HELL, IT IS 12.30 AM ON MONDAY THE 7TH MARCH 1994!!
